On this past Saturday, Yahoo News reposted an article penned by Bre’Anna Grant of the Insider.com, examining some of the devastation and frustration the pandemic has put on Black funeral homes.
The article goes in-depth about how the African American community is uniquely impacted by the pandemic when it comes to funerals.
Greg Burrell, 60, owner of Terry Funeral Home in Philadelphia, said “not being able to have the traditional funeral is not only devastating physically and emotionally, but it’s also frustrating,” who has been in the industry since he was eight years old.
